Patrick Sullivan - Frazier History Museum

Patrick Sullivan internship

For the past few months Patrick has been working at the Frazier History Museum’s summer camp in Louisville, Kentucky. The camp combines fun and education for grades 1-6 with weekly topics ranging from art history to "why you wouldn’t want to live in another era."

Patrick researches historical topics to create 10-15 minute lessons and a coordinating activity, such as recreating the paper helicopters that the Wright brothers used to learn about aerodynamics, to teach children in a way that is engaging. Camp activities take campers all around the museum’s numerous exhibits, including the barrel-making station in the museum’s bourbon exhibit (pictured below).
